Piero Lissoni at Stardust Piero Lissoni (b. 1956), Italy.Piero Lissoni Biography:Piero Lissoni (born 1956) is one of Italy's leading Italian architects and designer, known for his contemporary furniture design. Lissoni's influences include Italian masters Zanuso, Sottsass, Castiglioni, and Magistretti, but also Danish designers such as Arne Jacobsen and Poul Kjaerholm. His clients are many of the most world-renowned design companies: Alessi, Boffi, Cappellini, Cassina, Flos, Fritz Hansen, Kartell, Living Divani, Matteograssi, Poltrona Frau, Porro, and Tecno. Piero Lissoni was born in 1956 and graduated from the Milan Polytechnic with a degree in architecture in 1978. In 1984, he began working as an Art Director and Designer at Boffi, an Italian architecture firm which specializes in designing kitchens and bathrooms. A few years later, he founded the architectural firm Lissoni Associates with Nicoletta Canesi. He continues to design today, and one of his pieces, Sol Light, a 3-dimensional geometric grid of cubes, was recently auctioned off to raise money for cancer research.
