In 1996, after achieving a diploma in interior architecture and design from La Llotja art school in Barcelona, he began his career by working on installations for cultural organisations, such as the Joan Mirò Foundation. He also created ephemeral objects and spaces during the “Primavera Del Disseny” design biennial (1997, 1999, 2001). In 2001 he met Philippe Starck in Formentera, and they soon went on to develop a strong partnership. They have designed numerous projects together, including the Home/Gym/Office collection (2009) and the to ‘taime coat stand (2011) for Alias. He currently lives and works in Paris.Eugeni Quittlet Design:Eugeni Quitllet has been designing modern home accessories since childhood, as well as furniture (Masters chair), watches (O-ring), lamps (Reflect 299) and even shoes. He joined Philippe Starck's design team in 2001, kicking off a "cool laboration" which led to the creation of Fossil watches, furniture for Cassina, glasses for Alain Mikli. Since 2007, the pieces he designs for names such as Kartell, Driade, Magis and Dedon have been signed Starck and Quitllet.Eugeni Quittlet Furniture and Lighting:One of his latest creations is the Kartell Masters Chair. With Masters, Catalan designer Eugeni Quitllet has taken the silhouettes of famous modernist chairs and amalgamated them into the back of this armchair. Eugeni Quitllet's Masters Stool retains the sinuous forms of the chair he created with French designer Philippe Starck for Italian plastics company Kartell. Available in a range of colours, the bar stool can be used both indoors or outdoors. It was launched at the Maison & Objet fair in Paris. Eugeni Quitllet latest play with transparency and emptiness for Kartell is the Light air table lamp. An illusionist table lamp, a suspended light that eludes the laws of gravity. Light-air is essential, modern and rational, but at the same time it produces a magic effect. Its structure is a strong graphic statement composed of a rectangular frame formed of two pieces of methacrylate, the most trasparent plastic used in car industry, containing a conical parabola inside diffusing the light rays. The lamp with LED technology comes in two versions, one "traditional" and one mirrored.Eugeni Quittlet Sale at Stardust:Shop Eugeni Quittlet furniture and lighting at Stardust & receive Free Shipping and a 100% Low Price Match Guarantee.
