Exploring the boundaries within type-forms Marcel Wanders presents the 'Set Up Shades' for this intriguing collection. The Moooi Set Up Shades 7 Modern Floor Lamp is a radical deconstruction and recreation of your typical lamp, Marcel Wanders has taken the shade and used it in multiples to create an entire floor lamp. A shade is one of the things that most people expect in a lamp; it's almost a requirement. Marcel Wanders took this expectation to its logical, larger than life, conclusion with his set up shades, which have up to seven shades. Set Up Shades 7 is comprised of a seven-tiered metal frame with "shades" of PVC/cotton laminate. This beautiful floor lamp looks wonderful in a corner of a living room or bedroom.

To the origin, Set Up Shades was drawn by Marcel Wanders in 1989 for Droog design. Between scuplture and ready made floor lamp, Set Up Shades lamp is completely composed of superimposed lampshades on one another, they substitute themselves thus to the base and to the foot. An original and very elegant composition! Set up shades exists in 3 dimensions. This is the tallest Set Up Shades lamp, it stands 71 inches tall.
