Komodo Tall Rectangular Outdoor Fire Pit. Komodo is the ultimate modern outdoor fire place. Long and tall, its horizontal proportions and linear flame are designed to define social spaces, perfect for private residences or commercial spaces. Komodo is the natural evolution of our linear fire pit range. Longer and taller than our other offerings, it offers new and dynamic placement possibilities: as a dramatic divider to define social spaces; as a grand central feature of a landscape plan, or as multiples aligned to create a spectacular wall of fire. Equally at home in a residential backyard, a hotel garden, or a restaurant patio, Komodo is a modern fire pit designed for maximum visual impact.

Komodo is 84" long by 16" deep and 24" tall and is powered by a six-foot long natural gas or propane burner that produces 110,000 BTU/h. The burner utilizes electronic spark ignition, which can be controlled using a wall switch or handheld remote. It is ETL certified to Canadian and U.S. standards. Komodo Linear Fire is available in black, graphite, or white powder-coated finishes, or in Corten weathering steel. Like all our fire pit models, it comes complete with your choice of topping medium and a commercial-grade, all-season cover.

Installation:
Komodo's linear burner features an electronic pilot that can be connected to a wall switch or remote control, and is ETL listed. Although the installation is straightforward, professional installation is required by a licensed contractor in compliance with local building codes. Check your local building codes if a permit is required. The appliance is rated for installations up to 4500’ (1372 m) above sea level. Above 4500’ the appliance must be derated at the factory for the appropriate altitude unless the local fuel is pre derated. For outdoor use only.

Ignition:
Komodo works with Electronic Ignition (remote start) and can be controlled by an on/off wall switch, a timer or tied into an automated system (we don't provide these, but compatible standard off the shelf products are readily available). We offer an optional handheld remote (Skylink Receiver and Remote), but still recommend that a wall switch is used to control the power as an extra safety master shut off. The wall switch would have to be on for the remote control to work but it would not actually turn the fire pit on in the event the remote was lost.

Fuel Source:
Komodo is available as a natural gas or propane-fueled version which, at 110,000 BTu/h, provide coziness on cool evenings and a warm, mesmerizing glow that can only come from open flame. The fuel source (either natural gas or propane) is "external" and needs to be connected via a line.

Packaging:
This fireplace will be securely packaged in an easy-to-open wooden crate. Crate disassembles within minutes by using a flat head screwdriver. The fireplace base ships fully assembled. Topping medium will be separately packaged and will need to be spread out over fire pit after the installation.

What's in the box:
The Komodo Fireplace comes complete with your choice of topping medium and a commercial-grade all-season cover. Optional: protective glass cover for areas where winds are consistently 10+ mph.
