Lacrime del Pescatore consists out of layered nylon nets in three different sizes with 385 crystals. The light source, a 100 watt halogen lamp, is fixed separately to the wall. 35 years ago on the waters of the Venice Lagoon, Ingo Maurer saw fishermen's nets covered in thousands of water droplets. And as they sparkled in the early morning sun, Ingo was inspired to create Lacrime del Pescatore, Italian for "The Tears of the Fisherman".
