The extra-large Bonsai, commercial-grade, low profile modern bowl planters are hand-crafted out of a lighter weight fiber-cement that will provide years of carefree beauty and elegance. These generously sized (44/54/65-inch) sleek modern style low profile bowl planters will never crack in the winter, or fade in the glare of summer, as this material has been fabricated to protect against inclement weather and ultraviolet rays. Equally suitable for both residential and commercial as well as indoor and outdoor applications, Bonsai's curvaceous profile looks beautiful and can compliment any architectural style or landscaping plan with plenty of space for most plants including smaller trees (hence why it is named Bonsai). A large bowl planter can totally transform the blank canvas of an empty space on a patio, in a yard, or in the lobby of a building. Place it in the corner of a patio or on terraces and verandas. Wherever they are placed they look great and offer a low maintenance solution to all kinds of creative outdoor landscaping and interior decorating projects.
Designed by the Swiss-based architect Patrick Schöni, the Bonsai indoor/outdoor planter pots combine contemporary style with a low-maintenance and lightweight material. Bonsai planters are crafted from eco-friendly recycled fiber cement (a heat, rain and frost-resistant concrete) that is both lighter weight and fireproof compared to regular concrete planter pots. Each planter is a "one off" unique piece, made from eco-friendly recycled fiber cement (concrete). No two of these will every be exactly alike. Please note that due to this peculiar uniqueness, customer must be able to accept minor imperfections that are normal for unique hand made objects.
Fiber cement's main ingredients are: cement, powdered limestone, cellulose and synthetic fibers, water and air. Because fiber is combined with cement you get all the benefits associated with sleek concrete but in a lightweight design. Though delicate looking, this concrete table is plenty sturdy and durable. The concrete-like material withstands weather and is frost proof when used properly (no standing water). It resists heat, rain, and snow while still being light and fireproof.
Our base colors are anthracite, grey, and white. Products in these colors are in stock, and available for immediate shipping. Custom painted colors from the RAL series are made to order and require a lead time of 3-4 weeks. Additional finishes and design options are available upon request. Ships on pallet due to size.
