The spherical acrylic shell is gently cradled in its base allowing infinite adjustment with a touch of the hand. The Bel Occhio table lamp mimics the light bulb in form but in form only. Used conventionally, it directs light downward, providing focused illumination. But its clear spherical shade also diffuses ambient light, and in a darkened room the Bel Occhio is modern design at its best, and beauty in the eye of the beholder.
