Modern Round-Base Mood Home & Office Chair (mod. Active Disc) in powder-coated aluminum pictured in 'Selecte' upholstery (also sold in other fabrics) created by Ren̩ Holten for Artifort Netherlands. Designed by the Dutch architect, Artifort's "Mood Active Disc", on sale at Stardust, is an elegant seat with a distinctive style in the shape of a bucket. The attractively-priced Mood Active Disc features a more upright sitting position which makes it ideal for active spaces be it the home- or the office environment. Outfitted with- or without swiveling mechanism, this breathtaking contemporary piece of furniture measures 79" in height x 57" in diameter. The seat height is 47 inches and the arm height is 62 inches. The designer is one of the Holland's newest advocates of Dutch design idea, and its most eloquent spokesman.

Artifort Mood Active (Color) Design Chair with Round Base is an upscale swivel- or none-swiveling chair with premium brown or black leather or textile and a medium dense cushioned upholstered back and seat. The inviting shape of a bucket acted as the inspiration for this contemporary seating piece for any space. In addition to its intrinsic comfortable qualities, choosing the fabric upholstery from Artifort's 'Selecte' collection also responds to functional considerations: this creation can act for conference rooms, while its structural design forms a relaxed focal point when used at office desks or even around the dining table.

The highly-skilled craftsmanship necessary to create this object with its fluid characteristics in powder coated aluminum, foam and fabric was possible only thanks to the expertise Artifort has acquired through years of experience realizing complex pieces of furnishings. Its descriptive, evocative form transforms Mood into an object to put on display, in addition to its nominal function as a chair for work spaces.

Mood Active Disc chairs are offered with a single-fabric option (pictured), a two color (top/bottom) option with the same fabric, a two color (inside/outside) option with the same fabric, and a special leather upholstery version with accentuated stitching. The standard edition comes equipped with a non-swivel base. Optional is a swivel with return mechanism base.

Listed price is for the chair with standard upholstery in Artifort Selecte and price group AA which includes a wide selection of upholstery choices. There is a surcharge for upholstery groups BB to HH (this includes more expensive fabrics, leathers and Missoni Home upholstery fabrics). For more expensive fabrics and leathers, we will charge you the actual wholesale upholstery cost (not the full retail cost) so please request pricing and we will provide you with a very reasonable quote. Customers may also send their own upholstery grade fabric (no surcharge).
