Curious family

Danish woodworker Nikolaj Klitgaard shaped the very first Bubo by hand in his grandfather’s workshop in 2013. His passion for woodworking and an eye for details resulted in the creation of the sweet owl family named Bubo.

Hand made from oak, Bubo comes in two sizes, and both have a round mobile head and detachable magnetic arms. This allows Bubo to show a vast range of emotions. From hopeful, excited, to wondering, enjoy Bubo’s various expressions.

Care: Wood is a living material. This means that over time, if the material is exposed to sunlight or high humidity, for example, the colour may change slightly as the wood moisture content changes. In this case, we recommend sanding the products with fine sandpaper (preferably grain 220 or finer). This will also give the product a smooth surface again. To preserve the glow of the dark wood in the eyes, we recommend to use beeswax balm or furniture wax, applied using a cotton swab.
