RUGS from the Raw collection, a design available in two sizes made with a woolen stitch pattern on a jute base. This natural and rustic material works as the perfect canvas for such a colorful geometric composition, executed with thick and soft woolen threads. Presented as a superimposed layer, the simple stroke of triangles manifests itself in a serene, peaceful and at the same time captivating way.
RAW, A GAN SPACES COLLECTION
GAN spaces are collections meticulously constructed from innovative concepts and artisanal production methods. The height of expressiveness based on the use of two very basic materials, with the deliberate in-tention of taking them into the realm of minimalist design. The RAW collection is a master-class in how to achieve great things with very little. This is terrain in which its designer, Borja García, is an accomplished expert. Rugs, large format poufs and cushions made from a base of natural jute that serves as the perfect canvas for a simple colour pattern produced with wool stitching. Worked onto a top layer, the austere geometric composition is serene, calm and captivating all at the same time.
BORJA GARCÍA, DESIGNER OF THE RAW COLLECTION
Borja García trained as an industrial designer and architect at the Cardenal Herrera-CEU University in Valencia, and he is a co-founder, together with Laura Ros, of Made studio. Prior to the launch of this Valencian office, specialized in architecture and design, he worked independently and at other studios, such as Nazca and Enproyecto Arquitectura. Throughout his career, he has tackled projects of all kinds, ranging from furniture design, products and small decorative objects to residential, commercial and ephemeral architecture. His proposals are characterized by a surprising balance between aesthetic expression and sobriety, a complex intermediate point between two opposites that Borja García solves with exceptional skill.
