Bring a touch of neo-expressionist style into your home with Nanimarquina's Hayon-X-Nani Rectangle Rug it measures 3'11" x 4'3" and is intended to be used as a rug or wall tapestry). "Hayon-X-Nani," based after one of the 43-year Hayon's sketch drawings from 2017, displays his typical colorful yet sometimes surreal design style. The contemporary illustrations feature an array of unusual characters, including figures and abstract patterned shapes. To be used as area rugs and/or wall hanging/tapestry, the artist wanted to re-create the look of his drawings, with irregularities, color differences and all. Created with the hand tufting technique, a manually operated pistol injects pieces of wool, intuitive and fluid lines are achieved, as well as an organic composition. The definitive and faithful reproduction of the original sketch by the designer. This allowed Hayon's original drawings to be closely recreated. The carpets have around 56,000 knots per square meter. A first glance reveals a chaotic tangle of colours and shapes that invade the rug. However, after looking carefully, the imagination of Jaime Hayon springs to life: turtles, lips, hands, stools, fish, half men – half birds… From the series called HAYON-X-NANI.
